Does your home have tile floors or wood floors that are cold on your feet in the morning? Sure you can put on socks or a pair of slippers, but an area rug might be a better option. If you do not way to purchase one, then you need to make a braided rug from old fabric.

The process to make a braided rug from old fabric will not be as hard as it may sound. You first need the fabrics to use for the project, a yard stick, and a pair of scissors. The fabric needs to be cut into long strips that are the same width and length.

A needle and thread or a sewing machine will be needed to make a braided rug from old fabric. This is so you can easily sew together the individual sections of fabric that need to be braided to make the rug. Make sure you decide ahead of time if you want to make a square or round rug.
